We are honoured to welcome Georgina Chikomo as a distinguished board member of our organization. Georgina is a seasoned professional in the financial sector, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise. She holds a Master of Business Leadership from the University of South Africa and a Bachelor of Business Studies from the University of Zimbabwe, forming a solid foundation for her impressive career.
Georgina’s professional journey is marked by significant leadership roles and achievements. She is the first and only female Managing Director of ZB Bank Ltd, where she spearheaded substantial growth in the bank’s balance sheet and profitability. As a Consultant at Buzines Lab Consulting, she exhibited strategic leadership in financial and strategy management for small to medium enterprises.
Her commitment to community and organizational development is evident in her roles as Chair of the Organizational Transformation Program Technical Committee at ZB FH Group and the ZB Sports Club, showcasing her capability to lead diverse teams and drive transformational change.
Georgina is a Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (FCCA) and has completed advanced banking innovation and risk management courses. Her passion for supporting community development, particularly education for children in underprivileged areas, resonates with our organization’s commitment to societal impact.
Georgina’s extensive international exposure through her professional engagements in South Africa, Botswana, Rwanda, Egypt, Zambia, and Malawi has enriched her perspective, deepening her understanding of African cultures and enhancing her role in our organization. Fluent in English and Shona, her proficiency in various banking and accounting systems underlines her adaptability and prowess in the digital finance landscape.
As a board member, Georgina Chikomo brings strategic insight, financial understanding, a deep commitment to social progress, and a rich exposure to diverse African cultures through her professional and cultural experiences. Her leadership and experience are invaluable assets as we continue our mission to empower and enrich communities by promoting and preserving African culture and heritage.
